Due to the exceptional circumstances during the last few months the events were put on hold.  However, we have now got several planned as detailed below.

FORTHCOMING EVENTS 2010

Tuesday7th

September 2010.

Annual General Meeting.  To be held at Offwell Village Hall starting at 7.30. We would urge as many members as possible to attend and express their views on the future of OELink. 
The meeting will be followed by a talk on:
”Aliens”, concerned with animals and plants once considered foreign to the UK but now appearing and increasing their populations.  This talk will be given by the well-known local naturalist Rod Lawrence.  Click HERE for further details.

Saturday 11th  September 2010

Activity Day. Meet at the Offwell Woodland Education Centre for an activities day starting at 9.00 am and finishing at 4.00 pm.   This is part of the ‘International Biodiversity Year’ programme and bird ringing is one of the activities planned.

Tuesday 19th  October 2010

The Fourteenth Annual OELink Lecture: “Re-Introduction of Beavers” is to be given by Derek Gow (International Consultant on Animal Re-introduction) at Offwell Village Hall, starting time 7.30. Click HERE for more details.

Fungus Foray for OELink members and guests at the Offwell Woodland Education Centre. Led by Jeff Benn.
Meet at 10.00 am at the Forestry Commission Car Park and bring a packed lunch.
Number limited.

 

Please note that the £3 charge that now applies to non-members attending our field events will not be levied on the members of any organisation that is a corporate member of OELink.

 

Everyone attending events at the Woodland Education Centre must wear appropriate clothing and footwear


For many events, it would be useful to bring a field guide and hand lens if you have them.
