OELink Trustees' Annual Report
A concise summary of
the report for 2008 is given below. Any members who would like a full copy of
the Trustees' Annual Report should contact the Secretary Gill Graham.
2008
was another busy year for OELink. A number of events were held, including a
bird ringing demonstration, a tree workshop, a spider day and a fungal foray.
Also, there were talks and lectures, including those given by Professor Sir
Ghillean Prance and Stephen Lawson, and a showing of AI Gore's documentary An Inconvenient Truth. A series of
entomology classes were tutored by Professor Christopher Wilkinson.
OELink continued to support the work of the Woodland Education Centre, Offwell,
both financially (with donations to core funding of £1,000 in March and £5,500
in July) and practically.
OELink continued its
fund‑raising initiatives for its needs and in support of the Woodland
Education Centre.
Four newsletters were
produced during the year and the website, www.oelink.co.uk,
was maintained, There was also a stand at the Devon County Show.
Everything achieved
during the year has been accomplished solely through voluntary effort.
There are currently
openings for more committee members. If anyone would like to be considered for
co‑option to the Committee they should contact the Secretary.
